Taking place over 2 days this essential national conference will give you and your team a crucial insight into inspection and performance management in children’s services.

Day 1 of the conference on Preparing for Unannounced Inspections is a short day conference designed to help you better prepare for both the contact and referrals inspection, and the 10-day safeguarding inspection. By March almost all of you will have gone through the inspection, find out what Ofsted has learnt from the unannounced inspections and how you can respond to recommendations and prepare for the next set of inspections. This short day conference concludes with a look at how you can respond to recommendations made by Ofsted – how did a council who failed an unannounced inspection implement recommendations post-inspection?

Day 2 of the conference Children’s Services: Assessing and managing your performance under the CAA will disseminate key conclusions from the first outcomes-based assessment. Make sure you are comparing your approach with that of organisations who have had proven success under the new framework. Green Flag speakers will be confirmed once the Audit Commission releases the results in December.
