Gale Waller joined District Audit (which became the Audit Commission) in 2002. She has undertaken both performance audit and inspection work, including Corporate Assessment and Joint Area Reviews and has also worked on Audit Commission national studies. These include Missing Millions and, more recently, Tired of Hanging Around.

Gordon joined Cambridgeshire County Council in 2005 as Deputy Chief Executive within the Office of Children and Young Peoples Services. Following the restructure in early 2009, his title has now become Executive Director: Children and Young Peoples Services.

Jim is a qualified and registered social worker who has twenty two years experience working in council children’s services. Posts have ranged from team manger in referral, contact and assessment teams through to senior management posts responsible for the delivery of services for children and young people in need and those looked after.

John Gilbert commenced his role of Group Director, Children’s Services at the beginning of April 2008 and has worked in local government circa 26 years. Prior to this, John worked at Telford & Wrekin Council where he had the responsibility for the full range of children and young people’s services within this portfolio, ranging from Early Years to Integrated Childcare.
